Exfoliating skin or removing excess or built-up dead skin cells on the surface of the skin or in the pore can be helpful for almost all skin types, according to skincare specialist/author, Paula Begoun.  If you have oily skin, we recommend that you deep-clean or exfoliate, as freely as possible. This helps keep the pores from getting clogged.  Cell debris can fill up the pore and obstruct oil flow out of it.  If you have dry skin, it helps make room for plumper, moisture-filled skin cells to come to the surface.  Using exfoliating masks, scrubs and peels can help the dead surface-skin cells to slough off evenly, at a more normal rate, making room for the lower layers of newer skin cells to arrive. Those that may not want to use a product such as this are those with thin skin, skin diseases and disorders such as rosacea, eczema, dermatitis or seborrhea. Also those very sensitive. But it also depends on the specific mask, scrub or peel.
